The impact and exploitation will grow in importance in comparison to the traditional merit of publishing and h-index. Being proactive to position for impact and exploitation will build merits which are useful for research applications and impact track record. Most calls for funding are addressing impact, and that will be an essential feature in evaluations. It is not only the planned impact, it is also the demonstrated impact. In this meetup we discuss the impact and exploitation and how to be proactive to position already now so that it benefits research and career.
